First Announcement of the Environmental Impact Assessment Work Change for the Guangming Mine and Coal Preparation Plant of Shanxi Datuhua Coal Industry Co., Ltd.

Shanxi Datuhua Coal Industry Co., Ltd. Guangming Coal Mine is a planned mine in the Liuliu mining area of the Shanxi Jinzhong coal base. In May 2011, the former Ministry of Environmental Protection approved the environmental impact assessment (EIA) documents for the Guangming mine and coal preparation plant. The Guangming Coal Mine is an under-construction project that plans to increase the coal seams to be mined, which constitutes a significant change and requires re-approval of the EIA documents. According to the relevant provisions of the "Environmental Impact Assessment Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Regulations on the Management of Environmental Protection for Construction Projects", as well as the requirements of the "Measures for Public Participation in Environmental Impact Assessment", Shanxi Datuhua Coal Industry Co., Ltd. needs to publicly disclose relevant information regarding the changes in the environmental impact assessment work for the Guangming mine and coal preparation plant, and to listen to public opinions and suggestions regarding the project's environmental protection. The following is the first public announcement of the project's environmental impact assessment information:

(1) Project Name: Shanxi Datuhua Coal Industry Co., Ltd. Guangming Mine and Coal Preparation Plant

(2) Construction Location: The mine is located 8 kilometers southwest of Sanjiao Town, Lin County, Lüliang City, Shanxi.

(3) Construction Scale: Designed scale of 2.4 million tons per year.

(4) Main construction content:

The Guangming Coal Mine has an average strike length of 4.1 kilometers, an inclined width of 5.9 kilometers, and an area of 23.56 square kilometers. The mine adopts a main and auxiliary shaft development plan. The mine is designed to construct one surface industrial site and one gangue turnover site. The main construction includes the main and auxiliary shafts, east return air shaft, west return air shaft, and the supporting construction of a 2.4 million tons per year coal preparation plant and other main projects.
