Deputy County Mayor Ren Haitao of Zhongyang County and his delegation paid a visit to Fujiayan Coal Industry to conduct research and provide guidance.

On May 7, Ren Haitao, Deputy County Mayor of Zhongyang County, led a delegation to Fujiayan Coal Industry to conduct a field inspection and research on workplace safety. They carried out on-site checks and provided guidance on the implementation of all safety‑related measures at the mine, offering valuable recommendations to steer and strengthen the mine’s safety management efforts. Yang Haibing, Deputy Director of the Zhongyang County Emergency Management Bureau, along with Wang Zuomin, Mine Manager of Fujiayan Coal Industry, Feng Shijun, Safety Mine Manager, and other officials, accompanied the team throughout the visit and presented detailed reports on relevant work progress.
During the field inspection, Ren Haitao, Deputy County Mayor of Zhongyang County, and his delegation first visited the mine’s dispatch and command center to conduct an on-site review of its operational status. He carefully examined the dispatch system’s performance, thoroughly inquired about the workflows for shift duty and information reporting, and commended the standardized management of the mine’s dispatch operations. He urged the dispatch personnel to remain at their posts, fulfill their duties conscientiously, and fully leverage their role as the “hub” of coal production, ensuring that mine‑wide production dynamics are monitored and controlled in real time and that emergency directives are swiftly communicated and implemented.
Subsequently, using the video surveillance system, the team conducted a detailed review of mechanized coal mining operations at the longwall face and the performance of the integrated heading‑bolting machine at the tunneling face, gaining a clear understanding of the progress made in advancing intelligent mining and excavation. At the site, the inspection team also verified the proper use of impact‑resistant vests and the operational status of the electronic perimeter fence, urging the mine to continuously strengthen on-site safety safeguards, standardize the management of personal protective equipment, and refine safety‑control measures to effectively mitigate risks associated with all types of field operations.
Regarding the implementation of the mine’s “1+5” special campaign, County Chief Ren urged the mine to remain firmly guided by both objectives and identified issues, adopting a work style characterized by rigor, pragmatism, specialization, meticulousness, and steadfastness. He called for deepening and solidifying the “1+5” initiative, seamlessly integrating it with routine safety‑production efforts, addressing weaknesses and strengthening areas of vulnerability, and ensuring that safety responsibilities are effectively enforced at every stage and in every position.
During the field visit, Deputy County Magistrate Ren Haitao showed great concern for workers’ living and working conditions, as well as key initiatives such as gas management. He inquired in detail about wage payments and underground work hours, and carefully assessed the implementation of measures to safeguard workers’ rights and interests. Mine Manager Wang Zuomin responded to each of these issues one by one.
Finally, the research team conducted an on-site inspection of the mine’s fire‑protection system and the duty roster of the fire‑control personnel. They instructed the on‑duty staff to strictly adhere to the 24‑hour shift‑rotation system, master the emergency response procedures for fire incidents, and carry out regular maintenance and inspections of fire‑fighting equipment as well as routine emergency drills, thereby ensuring that the fire‑protection system remains in optimal working condition at all times and effectively enhancing the mine’s capacity for emergency fire‑safety response.
Going forward, the mine will take this inspection as an opportunity to earnestly implement the findings and recommendations, squarely address existing shortcomings in its operations, further strengthen the principal responsibility for workplace safety, refine safety management and control measures, intensify efforts to identify and rectify potential hazards, and continuously elevate the mine’s standards of safe production and its level of intelligentization. In doing so, it will effectively safeguard the lives and property of its employees, ensure the sustained stability and improvement of workplace safety, and contribute to local energy security and socio‑economic development.
